5 March 1954 – 16 January 2011

Drummer and songwriter for legendary Australian act Cold Chisel, Steve Prestwich, tragically passed away on Sunday 16th January from a brain tumour at the age of 56. Everyone within the ARIA family would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the family and friends of this iconic Australian artist.

Prestwich was a founding member of Orange (later to become Cold Chisel) in 1973, playing drums and writing such classics as ‘When the War is Over’, ‘Best Kept Lies’ and co-writing ‘Flame Trees’ with Don Walker.
