Be part of the ARIA Awards
Members are eligible to nominate Australian recorded music product for the annual Awards, and have priority ticketing privileges. Members also participate in the process of determining the criteria to apply to the various awards each year.
Benefit from copyright protection services and industry advocacy
ARIA promotes the value of recorded music and the importance of appropriate legal frameworks (ie strong copyright laws) to allow the music market to flourish, and ensure that creators and those who invest in them can get a fair return for their work. A specialist unit, Music Rights Australia, has been established to protect the creative interests of the Australian music community and assist members to protect their rights.
Participate in our reproduction licensing program, and benefit from collective licences
ARIA provides, in certain cases, a "non exclusive" licensing service on behalf of participating sound recording rights holders (ARIA Licensors) for various uses of copyrights, including the reproduction of sound recordings and music videos by suppliers of music services and television production companies. ARIA collects licence fees on behalf of ARIA Licensors and thus reduces individual administration costs.
Subscribe to chart information
ARIA chart information and weekly sales reports are available to members on a subscription basis. Members receive a complimentary copy of the weekly chart publication ‘The ARIA Report’ and are also entitled to claim accreditation for their sound recordings (i.e. Gold, Platinum and Diamond status).
Benefit from educational resources and build networks
ARIA periodically hosts member seminars and forums on a variety of issues relevant to the industry. Perhaps most importantly, by joining the association you become part of a community working to advance the interests of the Australian music industry.
