#NewMusicFriday: Dear Seattle, Two Door Cinema Club and more

Australian indie-rock band Dear Seattle release their second studio album Someday. On the writing single Here To Stay, Singer & Guitarist, Brae Fisher states; “When I was younger, I never doubted myself. It felt like I had a superpower; like if I set my mind to something and really worked for it, I could somehow always get to where I wanted to be. My brother even used to say that I ‘walked in the light’ because of it”. Previous record, Don’t Let Go peaked in the Top #50 on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Iconic, Irish, indie-rock trio Two Door Cinema Club are back from a three year hiatus to release their fifth studio album, Keep On Smiling. The body features single, Lucky which strikes a nostalgic chord for many. The band previously peaked at #5 on the ARIA Albums Chart with their 2012 record, Beacon.

Ylayali is the solo project of Philadelphia's Francis Lyons. The artist today released a third studio album, featuring the pre-released singles Circle Change and He Needs Me. The body sees Ylayali move from experimental soundscapes into a dreamy, indie, song based sound. 

British rockstar YUNGBLUD is back with a brand new, self-titled album. The body follows his record Weird! which peaked at #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart in 2020 and 11 Minutes which peaked at #23 on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2019.

Kero Kero Bonito’s Sarah Midori Perry launches her debut EP Icarus under solo project Cryalot. The body features previous singles Hell Is Here, Touch The Sun and Labyrinth.

Pulse of the Early Brain (Switched On, Vol. 5) is the fifth volume of Stereolab’s long-running compilation series. The volume features singles, b-sides, collaborations, radio sessions and other rarities. Stereolab are set to commence their tour early this month.
