Industry Tickets - Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL ARIA AWARDS EVENT TICKETS AND ATTENDEES

 Australian Recording Industry Association Ltd (ABN 72 002 692 944) (ARIA) is the seller of the industry tickets for the 2024 ARIA Awards. These Terms & Conditions relate to the sale of tickets and/or attendance at the 2024 ARIA Awards (the Event). Please read these Terms & Conditions before purchasing or accepting any tickets for the Event. By purchasing or accepting tickets, you and any ticket holders confirm that they have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and any terms and conditions published by Ticketek on its website (as applicable).

 

Digital Tickets

ARIA will be utilising the services of Ticketek Pty Ltd (ABN 92 010 129 110) (Ticketek) in order to facilitate the processing of tickets, and for the purposes of verifying and facilitating entry to the Event. All tickets for the Event will be digital tickets delivered as a .pdf. Tickets purchased via ARIA will be delivered to ticket purchasers via email. The digital tickets will not be issued until closer to the Event. Ticket purchasers will be notified when the tickets are available and when they will be able to access and forward/share the purchased tickets to others. 

 

Purchasing Conditions

  1. All tickets purchased or issued for the Event are subject to these Terms & Conditions, the ARIA Awards Industry Tickets Refund Policy, ARIA’s Privacy Collection Statement and the ARIA Privacy Policy.
  2. Payment must be made at the time of placing your order. No tickets will be held until full payment is received by ARIA.
  3. ARIA will determine the allocation/location of seating for tickets purchased. Ticket purchasers are unable to select specific seats to purchase.
  4. To reduce the incidence of fraud, ARIA reserves the right to: (i) undertake verification checks and/or request additional information in relation to any ticket purchases; and (ii) not process or cancel any ticket purchase orders that ARIA reasonably suspects have been made fraudulently or in circumstances where you have not provided the requested additional information. ARIA may do this without any notice to you.
  5. All ticket purchase orders will be processed subject to approval by your payment provider. ARIA will use best endeavours to contact you if your payment is not processed or if your payment is not approved due to a technical or other issue. If ARIA is unable to reach you after two attempts, ARIA will not process your order and ARIA has no liability to you in relation to you not being able to purchase tickets to the Event.
  6. Whilst ARIA tries to accommodate all ticket requests, ARIA is unable to confirm that you will receive tickets until closer to the Event (if at all). If ARIA is unable to fulfil your request, ARIA will try to offer you alternate seating options (where available) or ARIA will refund your payment in full via the same means of payment that was used to order the tickets.
  7. For each individual ticket purchase, ARIA will need to be advised of the name and postcode / overseas city of origin of all ticket holders before your tickets are issued. Ticket purchasers will also need to advise ARIA if any minors will be in attendance. Once you have completed your order you will be emailed a link to a page to enter this information. This must be completed by Friday 18 October 2024 to avoid any impact on the release of your tickets.
  8. Ticket purchasers must highlight any nominees, presenters, performers and minors when submitting attendee data for your order. This information is essential.
  9. ARIA accepts payment via all credit card providers with the exception of Diners Club and American Express (AMEX). Payment must be made in Australian dollars only. ARIA does not accept cash payments or payments made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). A credit card processing surcharge of 1.5% applies. Payment is processed immediately with your ticket purchase. To ensure protection of your credit card details, credit card payments are processed using a secure, third party payment gateway service known as Fiserv.   10. Accessible tickets for the Event are available for tickets purchased via ARIA. Accessibility and special needs ticket holders may be entitled to one additional ticket for an accompanying patron/carer at a discounted price. Please contact awards@aria.com.au if you wish to enquire about purchasing a ticket for companion seating and to check about eligibility. You may be required to provide the relevant concession/accessibility documentation at the point of purchase and upon entry into the Event.

 

General Terms and Conditions

  1. By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the Event, all ticket holders agree to the Hordern Pavilion’s Conditions of Entry (available at: https://thehordern.com.au/privacypolicy/conditions-of-entry/). Please note that as a part of the venue’s Conditions of Entry, the venue reserves the right to conduct security searches and inspect a ticket holder’s clothing, bags or possessions.
  2. All ticket holders and attendees at the Event agree to the comply with the ARIA Behaviour Benchmark and the ARIA Code of Conduct as published on the ARIA website.
  3. Tickets cannot be resold, offered for resale or used for any incentives, promotions, advertising or competitions without the express written permission of ARIA. ARIA may cancel any tickets that breach this condition.
  4. Ticket holders aged under 18 years must be accompanied at all times at the Event by their parent or legal guardian who is also an industry ticket holder. Minors may not be able to access or participate in parts of the Event, if such parts of the Event are held in premises where admission is restricted to adults only. Ticket purchasers must advise ARIA in writing in advance of the Event if minors will be in attendance.
  5. ARIA reserves the right to vary or substitute artists that are scheduled to appear at the Event and seating arrangements at the venue.
  6. On arrival at the Event and for the purposes of entry into the Event venue, your digital ticket may be exchanged for a wristband. Please look after your wristband and digital ticket. ARIA and Ticketek will only replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets if the authenticity of the ticket can be verified and if you provide reasonable notice prior to the Event. You may be charged a reasonable fee for the replacement of lost, damaged or destroyed tickets.
  7. Entry into the Event may be denied if the legitimacy of the ticket cannot be verified (eg. if the ticket has been copied, damaged, altered, counterfeit or otherwise invalid).
  8. If you are issued with a wristband at the Event, you must leave your wristband on for the duration of the Event. Wristbands that have been removed or damaged are void and will not be accepted. Please also retain your digital ticket for the duration of the Event.
  9. Ticket holders will need to comply with the venue’s requirements regarding bags and large items (eg large bags, backpacks etc) at the Event. Please refer to the venue’s Terms and Conditions (https://thehordern.com.au/privacypolicy/conditions-of-entry/).
  10. All ticket holders/attendees agree that the Event will be filmed and that television cameras may at times obstruct your view. As the Event will be filmed: (i) each ticket holder/attendee agrees that their likeness, voice and/or image may be photographed and/or filmed at the Event and ticket holders/attendees consent to such photographs and recordings and the ticket holder/attendee’s name being used by ARIA and its licensees and news outlets, in any media, world wide and in perpetuity; and (ii) ticket holders/attendees must remainin their allocated seats during the filming of the Event to avoid filming interruptions; and (iii) ticket holders/attendees must follow the reasonable instructions issued by the ARIA production team, venue staff and security at the Event.
  11. Professional cameras and video/audio recording equipment is prohibited at the Event. Flash photography is not permitted. Any images or video captured at the Event that are captured with a camera, mobile phone or other wireless device cannot be used for any purpose other than for private and domestic purposes. Ticket holders must not license, sell, publish or otherwise commercially exploit photographs or video captured at the Event.
  12. Mobile phones and other telecommunications devices must be on silent during the filming of the Event.
  13. Ticket holders must bring approved photographic identification to the Event, particularly if the ticket holder wishes to consume alcohol at the Event. It is an offence to supply or provide minors with alcohol and anyone caught doing so may be prosecuted and/or removed from the Event, along with the minor.
  14. If any ticket holder arrives late to the Event, every effort will be made to allow that person to enter, but it is possible that person may not be admitted until a suitable break in the filming.
  15. A ticket holder may be denied entry into, or removed from the Event where ARIA or the Hordern Pavilion has reasonable grounds to do so, including where a ticket holder breaches these Terms & Conditions.
  16. The use of illicit substances is prohibited throughout the Event. Please refer to the Hordern Pavilion’s Conditions of Entry and the ARIA Behaviour Benchmark in relation to the policy on the use and possession of illicit substances at the Event.
  17. Ticketholders are required to inform ARIA of any dietary requirements by the advised deadline, ARIA and the venue caterers are not liable for any issues arising from ticketholders failing to provide this information by the specified date. Additionally, while ARIA and the venue caterers will take care to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee that all dietary requirements will be met or the complete absence of allergens or cross-contamination. Ticketholders with severe allergies or food intolerances must take necessary precautions.
  18. A ticket holder will be not entitled to receive a refund if they breach these Terms & Conditions (including to avoid doubt if the ticket holder is denied entry or removed from the venue).
  19. Risks: All attendees at the Event acknowledge that there may be risks associated with attending the Event. These risks include (by way of example and without limitation), the risk of contracting viruses or ailments which may be transmitted where large numbers of people are in attendance. ARIA and the venue will take all reasonable measures to look after attendees at the Event, but all attendees accept the risks associated with attending the Event. In order to minimise the risks, all attendees must follow the safety protocols in place at the Event and follow all guidance (including public health orders and recommendations) relating to the transmission of viruses and communicable diseases. By attending the Event, all Event attendees acknowledge and accept these risks (whether before, during or after the Event) in their personal capacity and on behalf of any accompanying minor.
  20. Although all reasonable measures will be undertaken to safeguard attendees at the Event, illness or injury can occur. To the extent permitted by law, ARIA disclaims all liability for any loss, illness, injury or damage to any person or property at the Event.
  21. Liability: Unless required by applicable law, ARIA is not responsible or liable for any costs associated with travel, accommodation, loss of enjoyment or any other expenditure incurred by an attendee at the Event, even if such costs arise as a result of the cancellation, postponement/rescheduling or changes to the Event. In circumstances where liability cannot be excluded by law (including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL)), the maximum liability that ARIA will have to an Event ticket purchaser is the cost of the face value of the ticket purchased. These Terms & Conditions do not exclude, restrict or modify the application of any provision of the ACL, where to do so would either contravene the ACL or cause any part of these conditions to be void. Any provision of these conditions which is invalid must be read down to the minimum extent necessary to achieve its validity or be severed from these conditions without invalidating or affecting the remaining clauses in these conditions.
  22. Privacy: By purchasing a ticket to and/or attending the Event, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by ARIA and Ticketek, and the disclosure of information between ARIA and Ticketek for the purposes of ticketing, Event production and management, Event safety, Event information and Event related surveys. ARIA and Ticketek may from time to time disclose your personal information to third party service providers, for example IT service providers, in order to facilitate the purchase, distribution and administration of the ticket.   23. ARIA may vary these Terms & Conditions at any time by updating them on this weblink and/or the ARIA website. Any variations will only apply to ticket purchases made after these Terms & Conditions have been updated and will not apply retrospectively.
  24. These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New South Wales.
