We want to let you know about a scam that has been recently reported to us.
Scammers purporting to be from ARIA, are contacting people via email, SMS, Telegram and WhatsApp with offers of employment from ARIA.
The scammers are offering the recipient with the opportunity to work with ARIA by “rating” or “optimising” songs in exchange for payment and rewards. The recipient is also asked to provide personal information and to transfer payments via cryptocurrency.
To make it seem legitimate, they have been using the ARIA logo and branding in their messages and forms. Examples are below:
Domains used so far include the websites: ariaauhex.com, ariaaukone.com and ariaaufq.com.

What is ARIA doing to stop this?
The scammers are based outside of Australia and are hard to identify– which makes it difficult to stop. However, we are contacting the relevant Australian Government authority and are attempting to have the sites taken down. However, this can take some time.
