ARIA SURVEY – PRIVACY COLLECTION STATEMENT
ARIA is committed to protecting your privacy and handling all personal information collected in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Collection Statement explains the personal information ARIA will collect in this ARIA Survey, the purpose of its collection and how it will be handled by ARIA.
PURPOSE
This ARIA Survey has been created by ARIA to provide ARIA with data related to the diversity and composition of the ARIA and its stakeholders. The survey requests certain personal (including sensitive) information from you so that results of the survey can assist ARIA in ensuring that the ARIA represents and reflects the diverse and vibrant Australian music community.
If you do not want to share certain personal information with ARIA, then you should select the response option of “Prefer not to say“ as applicable.
If you choose to provide ARIA with your personal information via this survey, then ARIA:
- will only use your personal information in aggregated form for the purpose of ARIA’s review of diversity, inclusivity and the composition of the ARIA and the broader music industry;
- will not publish or share any of your identifying (personal or sensitive) information;
- may aggregate non-identifying information including statistics and reproduce and publish sentiments from the survey responses for the purposes of reporting, research and analysis; and
- may include anonymised responses, comments or feedback in reports or materials created and published by ARIA or in materials shared by ARIA with relevant stakeholders and the media. ARIA will only publish or share aggregated data - which means that an individual is not identifiable.
This survey is conducted via SurveyMonkey. Information collected as a part of this surveys is also subject to the privacy policy of SurveyMonkey: Privacy Basics | Momentive (surveymonkey.com). Information collected via SurveyMonkey may also be stored in overseas locations. By participating in this survey, you understand that this information may be hosted overseas and subject to laws outside Australia and you consent to this.
USE AND STORAGE
Raw data and personal information collected via the survey will be accessible by authorised ARIA personnel, who will only use this information for the approved purposes set out above and are bound by confidentiality constraints. ARIA will not provide the personal information collected from you to anyone else, unless you have given consent for us to do this, or we are authorised or required to do so by law.
ARIA will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Your personal information will be stored on a password protected database and password protected files which are secured from unauthorised access.
