Aussie pop sensation Peach PRC spreads some magic dust on the ARIA charts this week, as her debut EP Manic Dream Pixie enters the album chart at #1.
Raised in Adelaide, the singer-songwriter first appeared in the Top 50 ARIA Chart with her debut single Josh, peaking at #38 in 2021; and in New Zealand where Josh and single Forever Drunk landed her in the top 10. Peach PRC is currently touring the country on her first ever sold out headline tour.
Peach PRC said: “To go to #1 on the charts with my FIRST ever EP is absolutely unreal and like actually insane. To have such a dedicated, loyal fan base that has really been my community and backbone, truly always leaves my heart bursting and my head spinning. I’m so beyond grateful.”
ARIA CEO, Annabelle Herd, said: “Huge congratulations to Peach PRC on this amazing achievement! It’s fantastic to see an Australian artist back at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and particularly a young female artist who has such a special connection with her fans and audience and who is achieving great success in touring here and overseas, with more to come.”
Also new this week is First Two Pages Of Frankenstein, the ninth studio album from US rock band The National at #9. They landed at #2 in 2013 with Trouble Will Find Me and again in 2017 with Sleep Well Beast.
The second highest album debut of the week belongs to American rapper Jack Harlow, who arrives at #11 with Jackman. His previous album, Come Home The Kids Miss You climbed to #2 last year.
Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, Morgan Wallen’s Last Night holds firm at #1 for the fourth straight week. South Korean girl group Fifty Fifty continue their march up the chart, with The Beginning: Cupid rising from #6 to #2, while Stephen Sanchez and Em Beihold’s long-running hit Until I Found You works its way back into the top 10, up from #13 to #9 in its 37th week.
