Billie, Taylor and Charli XCX take the top three

It’s an all-female top three on the ARIA Albums Chart this week, while a veteran rock band lands its 14th top 10 album in a row. 

Billie Eilish’s Hit Me Hard And Soft holds the top spot for a third non-consecutive week, while Taylor Swift’s former chart-topper – The Tortured Poets Department – holds at #2. 

The highest debut of the week goes to English singer-songwriter Charli XCX, who is new at #3 with BRAT. It’s her sixth studio album and fifth to chart here. She peaked at #7 in 2019 with Charli and hit the summit for one week in 2022 with Crash

Legendary US rock band Bon Jovi lands at #4 with their 16th studio album, Forever. The New Jersey natives’ first two albums scraped into the top 40 but since then, they have scored 14 top 10 albums in a row. Ten of their releases have gone all the way to the top, putting them in equal sixth place with Eminem and John Farnham on the list of artists with the most #1 albums. 

American singer and former Australian Idol judge Meghan Trainor debuts at #23 with Timeless. It shares its title with the new album from producer, singer and DJ Kaytranada, which is new at #42 this week. 

Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, Eminem’s new track Houdini is #1 for the second week in a row.
