After dropping to #4 last week, The Weeknd jumps back to #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with Dawn FM. It’s the third week at #1 for the Canadian star’s fourth chart-topper. His first three #1 albums only spent a week each in the top spot.
In its 145th week in the Top 50, Maroon 5’s Singles Collection hits a new peak at #15. It’s one better than its previous peak, reached several times during 2021.
Sydney indie veterans The Whitlams hit the Albums Chart for the first time in over a decade, debuting at #21 with Sancho. It’s the group’s first new album in 16 years, following on from Little Cloud (#4 Mar. ’06). Between albums, The Whitlams released the compilation Truth, Beauty And A Picture Of You: Best Of The Whitlams (#3 Aug. ’08). In 2011, front man Tim Freedman released the solo album Australian Idle (#19 Nov. ’11).
