Debuts for P!nk, Jason Derulo, Rihanna and more!
After nabbing the #1 spot last week, Gnash’s ‘I Hate U, I Love U’ has scored a second week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.
This week sees the first new entries in the top 50 for both P!nk and Jason Derulo (see below).
A jump of 21 spots puts Dua Lipa’s ‘Be The One’ into the top ten for the first time in its fourth week in the top 50.
Up five from last week, ‘One Dance’ becomes Drake’s fourth top ten as lead artist on the ARIA Singles Chart. His highest peak so far has been with ‘Hotline Bling’ (#2 Oct. ’15).
There’s new peaks this week for Tinie Tempah’s ‘Girls Like’ (#15), Little Mix’s ‘Secret Love Song’ (#20), Broods’ ‘Free’ (#30), Desiigner’s ‘Panda’ (#32) and Nick Jonas’ ‘Close’ (#37)
Debuts:
#2: P!nk ‘Just Like Fire’ – P!nk makes her first appearance on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2016 with ‘Just Like Fire’. The track comes from the soundtrack to the film Alice Through The Looking Glass. It’s P!nk’s fourteenth top five single on the ARIA Charts. Her first top five was with ‘There You Go’ (#2 Jun. ’00).
#34: Jason Derulo ‘If It Ain’t Love’ – Jason Derulo’s first appearance on the Singles Chart as a lead artist for 2016. He’s also currently sitting at #20 as a featured artist on Little Mix’s ‘Secret Love Song’.
#39: Luke Christopher ‘Lot To Learn’ – American rapper Luke Christopher makes his ARIA Charts debut with ‘Lot To Learn’. The track comes from Christopher’s 2015 EP TMRW/YSTRDY.
#47: Future & Drake ‘Jumpman’ – This collaboration between American rapper Future and Canadian rapper Drake comes from their 2015 joint mixtape What A Time To Be Alive. It recently appeared in a commercial for Apple Music featuring Taylor Swift rapping along to the song.
#48: Rihanna ‘Kiss It Better’ – The second track to hit the top 50 from Rihanna’s album ‘Anti’ (#5 Feb. ’16), following on from ‘Work’ (#5 Mar. ’16).
#50: DNCE ‘Cake By The Ocean’ – The ARIA Singles Chart debut for American group DNCE. They’re lead by former Jonas Brothers member Joe Jonas. ‘Cake By The Ocean’ is the first single from their debut album SWAAY.
