Debuts for Halsey, P!nk, Sam Smith and more!
It’s week three at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart for Post Malone’s ‘Rockstar’. The American rapper has scored a new entry on this week’s chart, debuting at #26 with ‘I Fall Apart’.
Jumping up six spots from last week, ‘Havana’ scores a new peak at #2. It overtakes Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ (#3 Apr. ’16) as Camila Cabello’s highest ARIA Singles Chart peak.
Debuting at #6 on the Singles Chart in the week back in March that Ed Sheeran’s ÷ debuted at #1 on the Albums Chart, ‘Perfect’ returned to the chart three weeks ago at #41. After hitting #19 last week, it’s up another 15 spots this week to claim a new peak at #4.
In its seventh week in the top 50, ‘Feel It Still’ climbs into the top ten for the first time at #9, thanks to a jump of six spots. It becomes American band Portugal. The Man’s first top ten single in Australia.
With a move of six to #10, ‘Good Old Days’ becomes Macklemore’s seventh top ten on the ARIA Singles Chart as either a solo artist or with Ryan Lewis.
The week’s Singles Chart also includes new peaks for Maroon 5’s ‘What Lovers Do’ (#17), Marshmello x Khalid’s ‘Silence’ (#21), Lorde’s ‘Homemade Dynamite (Remix)’ (#32) and Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso’s ‘Let Me Go’ (#34).

#26: Post Malone ‘I Fall Apart’ – With his ‘Rockstar’ spending a third straight week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, American rapper Post Malone picks up another top 50 entry with ‘I Fall Apart’. The track comes from the rapper’s debut album, Stoney (#10 Oct. ‘17); Malone’s debut chart appearance, ‘Congratulations’ (#30 Aug. ’17), also came from the album.
#42: Halsey ‘Bad At Love’ – American singer-songwriter scores her second top 50 entry as a lead artist with ‘Bad At Love’. Like previous single ‘Now Or Never’ (#16 Jun. ’17), ‘Bad At Love’ comes from Halsey’s second album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom (#2 Jun. ’17).
#44: P!nk ‘Whatever You Want’ – Ahead of Beautiful Trauma’s likely debut on the Albums Chart next week, P!nk picks up a third Singles Chart entry with a track from it. ‘Whatever You Want’ follows ‘What About Us’ (#1 Aug. ’17) and ‘Beautiful Trauma’ (#27 Oct. ’17) into the top 50.
#45: Sam Smith ‘Pray’ – Sam Smith hits the chart with a second track from forthcoming album The Thrill Of It All. ‘Pray’ is Smith’s seventh top 50 single and comes a month on from ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ (#1 Sept. ’17).
#47: Charlie Puth ‘How Long’ – American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth grabs a fifth top 50 entry as lead artist on the ARIA Singles Chart with ‘How Long. The track comes from Puth’s forthcoming second album, Voicenotes, which is set for release in January 2018. It’s the follow-up to ‘Attention’ (#10 Jul. ’17).
#48: Cardi B ‘Bodak Yellow’ – Rapper Cardi B hits the top 50 on the ARIA Singles Chart for the first time with ‘Bodak Yellow’. The track knocked Taylor Swift off the #1 position in the US, to date spending three weeks in the top spot. Cardi is the first female rapper since Lauryn Hill in 1998 to take out a #1 with a solo track.
