Just like Die Hard is a Christmas movie, Australian Frog Calls is a Christmas album. Today, it became Australia’s favourite Christmas album on the ARIA Albums Chart reaching #3 and topping the Australian Albums Chart. If that wasn’t enough, Mariah has officially taken her seasonal seat at #1 on the Singles Chart with All I Want for Christmas Is You. Hoppy holidays.
Debuting at #2 on the Albums Chart, SZA makes a long-awaited return with SOS, her widely acclaimed second studio album featuring Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers, Travis Scott and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Continuing the Christmas album trend, Michael Bublé jumps another four places to #4 with Christmas, Barnesy holds at #8 with Blue Christmas, the Bocelli family land at #9 with A Family Christmas, and Paul Kelly comes in at #12 with Paul Kelly’s Christmas Train.
Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You returns to #1 in the week before Christmas, in a meteoric rise from #50 in four weeks. When it was first released in 1994, the single climbed to #2 before returning to #6 for one week at Christmas in 2017. It has returned to the chart and hit #1 for each of the four Christmas weeks since, next week could make it five.
