A great day for Gracie

This week American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams reclaims the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart for the second non-consecutive week, while Aussie band Dear Seattle mark their first appearance in the top 10 at #4.

Abrams’ second album The Secret Of Us jumps from #6 to #1 thanks to the release of its deluxe edition on vinyl for the first time. The album spent one week at #1 in early July last year. Her first album, Good Riddance, stopped at #30 in 2023.

Four-member Sydney outfit Dear Seattle debut at #4 with their third album, TOY. It’s their best result to date: Don’t Let Go got to #45 in 2019 and Someday peaked at #31 in 2022.

The soundtrack to the new Robbie Williams biopic Better Man debuts at #5. The album features 13 old and new tracks by Robbie, including some re-recordings. It’s Robbie’s 15th top 10 solo album here. He reached #1 with Greatest Hits in 2004, Intensive Care in 2005, Rudebox in 2006, Reality Killed The Video Star in 2009 and The Christmas Present in 2019. As a member of Take That, he landed two top 10 albums.

American rapper Mac Miller arrives at #12 with Balloonerism, his seventh studio album and the second released since his death in September 2018. It’s his third top 10 album here: Swimmingreached #7 in 2018 and Circles peaked at #3 in 2020. Mac recorded the album in 2014 and it features guest spots by SZA and his alter ego, Delusional Thomas.

American country star Luke Combs’ upcoming Australian tour, which kicks off in Brisbane on 24 January, sends his albums back up the chart. Leading the pack are his former  2017 debut album This One’s For You, which steps up from #11 to #8 (it peaked at #7 in 2019 and again in 2022), and Fathers & Sons, which jumps from #77 to #20 (it peaked at #3 last year).

On the Singles Chart, Rosé and Bruno Mars score their 11th non-consecutive week at #1 withAPT. It’s the longest running #1 hit since Miley Cyrus ruled the singles chart for 12 weeks in 2023 with Flowers.
