The Weeknd’s sixth studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, debuts at the top of the ARIA Albums Chart this week, while Luke Combs gets a tour boost.
The Weeknd’s past four albums also went to the top: Beauty Behind The Madness in 2015 (one week), Starboy in 2016 (one week), After Hours in 2020 (one week) and Dawn FM in 2022 (three weeks). His greatest hits album, The Highlights, peaked at #2 in 2021; this week, it’s at #8.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is the third album in a trilogy, following After Hours and Dawn FM. The Weeknd has indicated Hurry Up Tomorrow will be the last album under his stage name, hinting that he might start making music under his real name, Abel Tesfaye.
Luke Combs’ Australian tour continues to boost his albums: This One’s For You climbs to a new peak of #5, it reached at #7 in 2019 and again in 2022. His most recent album, Fathers & Sons, returns to the top 10, up from #13 to #11.
On the Singles Chart, Lola Young holds at #1 for a second week with her first solo hit, Messy. Female artists have now been at #1 every week since mid-August last year: Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé (with Bruno Mars), Gracie Abrams, Mariah Carey and Lola.
