Hurts 2B Human gives P!nk sixth #1 album

Debuts for Rob Thomas, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Hillsong United and more!

Releasing Hurts 2B Human, her eighth studio album, American singer-songwriter P!nk takes out her sixth #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart (more below).
 
Currently touring Australia, Post Malone has moved up the chart to #12 with Beerbongs & Bentleys and to #21 with Stoney.
 
With new single ‘Me!’ debuting at #2 this week, Taylor Swift has moved up the chart with previous albums Reputation and 1989: this week they’re at #30 and #34, respectively.

#1: P!nk ‘Hurts 2B Human’ – American star P!nk scores her sixth #1 album on the ARIA Charts as she debuts in the top spot with Hurts 2B Human. It’s P!nk’s eighth studio album and includes the single ‘Walk Me Home’ (#11 Apr. ’19) and the album’s title track, which has debuted at #48 this week. P!nk previously hit #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart with I'm Not Dead (#1 Oct. ’06), Funhouse (#1 Nov. ’08), Greatest Hits...So Far!!! (#1 Nov. ’10), The Truth About Love (#1 Nov. ’12) and Beautiful Trauma (#1 Oct. ’17).
 
#3: Rob Thomas ‘Chip Tooth Smile’ – Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas returns with his fourth solo album, Chip Tooth Smile. The follow-up to The Great Unknown (#4 Aug. ’15) becomes Thomas’ fourth solo Top Ten entry on the Albums Chart. He topped the chart in May 2005 with debut solo album, Something To Be.
 
#4: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard ‘Fishing For Fishies’ – Melbourne’s prolific King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard release Fishing For Fishies, their 14th studio album. It’s the band’s first release of new material since Gumboot Soup (#6 Jan. ’18) and becomes their sixth Top Ten. In one week in November 2018, the band debuted with five of their early albums following their reissue.
 
#6: Hillsong United ‘People’ – Worship band Hillsong United return to the chart with the live album People. Recorded in Sydney, it becomes the group’s eighth Top Ten on the ARIA Albums Chart. They last charted with Wonder (#4 Jun. ’17).
 
#9: Catfish And The Bottlemen ‘The Balance’ – Catfish And The Bottlemen release their third album, The Balance. It becomes the Welsh indie rock band’s second Top Ten entry after The Ride (#6 Jun. ’16), which was their first UK #1.
 
#11: ScHoolboy Q ‘Crash Talk’ – American rapper ScHoolboy Q takes out a third Top 50 entry with Crash Talk. His fifth album comes three years on from Blank Face LP (#9 Jul. ’16) and features appearances by Travis Scott, Kid Cudi, Ty Dolla Sign and more.
 
#22: Marina ‘Love + Fear’ – Welsh singer-songwriter Marina scores her third Top 50 entry with Love + Fear. It’s her first release as Marina, having previously charted with Electra Heart (#32 May ’12) and Froot (#12 Mar. ’15) under the moniker Marina & The Diamonds.
 
#28: The Cranberries ‘In The End’ – The Cranberries release their eighth and final studio album, In The End. The follow-up to 2017’s Something Else is the band’s first release since the passing of singer Dolores O’Riordan in January 2018. It features a combination of vocals recorded before O’Riordan’s death and new instrumental tracks. It becomes the first Cranberries studio album to chart in the Top 50 since Bury The Hatchet (#11 Apr. ’99).
 
#33: David Campbell ‘Back In The Swing’ – David Campbell returns to his roots with Back In The Swing. Campbell’s tenth studio album comes six months on from Baby It’s Christmas (#12 Dec. ’18) and features a mix of newer tracks and classics by the likes of Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops and Frank Sinatra. Campbell’s highest chart peaks have been with The Swing Sessions (#7 Nov. ’06) and On Broadway (#7 May ’10).
