American singer Teddy Swims’ I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2) storms onto the ARIA Albums Chart this week at #1, while Slowly Slowly land at #8 with their fifth album, Forgiving Spree. They reached #7 in 2020 with Race Car Blues and #5 in 2022 with Daisy Chain.
UK rapper Central Cee arrives at #2 with his debut studio album Can’t Rush Greatness. His mixtape, 23, reached #6 in 2022. He spent seven weeks at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart in 2023 with Sprinter (with Dave).
Thanks to his Australian tour, Luke Combs’ 2017 album This One’s For You, hits a new high of #6 (it peaked at #7 in 2019 and again in 2022). Another American country star (and performer at last year’s ARIA Awards), Kane Brown, debuts at #41 with his fourth studio album, The High Road.
On the Singles Chart, English singer Lola Young takes the #1 spot with her first solo hit, Messy, up from #3 last week. Fuelled by its popularity on TikTok, the song has also gone to #1 in the UK.
Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe! jumps back up the chart from #6 to #12. The #1 song on Triple J’s Hottest 100 last weekend, it peaked at #4 on the ARIA chart in August last year.
Canadian pop star Tate McRae debuts at #10 with Sports Car, the third single from her upcoming third album, So Close To What. Produced by Ryan Tedder, Tate wrote the song with Julia Michaels. It’s her ninth top 50 single; her best performer so far is Greedy, which peaked at #2 in 2023.
