The Amity Affliction take a top 10 debut

It’s five non-consecutive weeks on top of the ARIA Albums Chart for Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, while Aussies The Amity Affliction land a top 10 debut.

Bring Me The Horizon’s Post Human: Nex Gen re-enters at a new peak of #2. It reached #4 in May this year and returns following its release on physical formats. 

The UK band has visited the top 10 here five times, taking the #1 spot with There Is A Hell Believe Me I’ve Seen It, There Is A Heaven Let’s Keep It A Secret in 2010, Sempiternal in 2013, That’s The Spirit in 2015, and Amo in 2019. 

Ed Sheeran’s first greatest hits album, +–=÷× (Tour Collection), debuts at #4, giving the English superstar his eighth top 10 album here. All seven of his studio albums have gone to #1. The new 24-track album has been released to mark the end of his +–=÷× Tour, which started in Ireland in April 2022 and wrapped in Germany last month. It contains six #1 Australian hits: Sing, Thinking Out Loud, Shape Of You, Perfect, I Don’t Care (with Justin Bieber) and Bad Habits

The Amity Affliction land at #7 with Let The Ocean Take Me (Redux), a re-recorded version of their 2014 album, which spent one week at #1 a decade ago. The Aussie post-hardcore band has scored four #1 albums: Chasing Ghosts in 2012, Let The Ocean Take Me in 2014, This Could Be Heartbreak in 2016 and Misery in 2018. 

Katy Perry’s performance at the AFL Grand Final last weekend sends her album Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection back up the chart from #24 to #13 It spent two weeks at #1 in 2010. 

Aussie hip-hop duo Posseshot arrives at #21 with PS4: Operation Burner Rap. Comprised of Muscles and KHA, they have released six albums since 2018. It is their first time in the top 50.

Sydney rock band The Rions make their chart debut at #35 with their second EP, Happiness In A Place It Shouldn’t Be

On the Singles Chart, Sabrina Carpenter’s Taste holds at #1 for the sixth straight week, tying with Benson Boone’s Beautiful Things as the longest running #1 single so far this year.

The highest new entry goes to The Weeknd and Playboy Carti, new at #11 with Timeless. It arrives three weeks after The Weeknd’s Dancing In The Flames debuted and peaked at #19. His new album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, drops later this year. 

Three-time ARIA Award winner The Kid LAROI’s Baby I’m Back climbs from #53 to a new peak of #37. Lifted from the Deluxe Edition of The First Time, it’s his 19th top 40 hit. He will perform at the NRL Grand Final this weekend.
